Film & HD Workshops For over 30-years, teaching the magic of cinematic storytelling to the world's filmmakers, cinematographers, directors, writers, actors and media producers.
Welcome to The Film Workshops International
Founded by one of film's leading educators, David H. Lyman, The Film Workshops conducts short, intensive educational and career enhancing programmes for the world's photographers and cinematographers, filmmakers, producers, actors, writers and media professionals. David established The Workshops 1973 in Rockport, Maine, and over the past 34 years his school has evolved as a leader in professional training and career development for content creators in entertainment, journalism, media arts.
The Film Workshops is not a technical trade school, although we do embrace and teach the latest technology as we teach the magic of storytelling. We inspire, nurture, and develop creative talent and their ideas. Our centres are where ideas are made real through the combination of still & moving images, sound, music, the human voice using technology to enlighten and change the world through storytelling.
Links on this website will lead you to specific courses and workshops, as well as provide background on what to expect and "The Workshops' Transformational Experience." All the information you should require to make a choice as to what workshop to take, is here . . . together with an application form and information on travel and what to bring. If you need help, e-mail us at Info@WorkshopsInternational.com and we will normally respond within 24 hours.
