Acknowledgment

We will acknowledge your acceptance and reserve your place in the class(es) of your choice upon receipt of your application, resume, and the required deposits.  We will also send you a copy of The Workshops policy, travel details, a bill for the balance due, and any other information you may require for your specific workshop. We cannot provide formal acceptance until your resume or portfolio is received and reviewed.

FInal Payment

We accept personal and company cheques, provided final payment reaches us at least 2 weeks prior to the start of your workshop.


Course Cancellation

The Film Workshops and or Media Workshops International reserves the right to cancel any workshop.  In the event we do have to cancel a workshop we will notify all registered students immediately.   Students will be offered full refunds of all fees and deposits for any course cancelled and will be given the option of credit towards any other course for which they are eligible.    The Film Workshops or Media Workshops International is not responsible for hotel cancellations or reimbursement of non-refundable airline tickets in the event of a workshop cancellation.  Nor is The Film Workshops or Media Workshops International  responsible for cancellations due to medical emergencies.   We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance.  Students are recommended to check with the office for course confirmation before making travel arrangements.


Application Deadlines

There are no application deadlines, but courses fill quickly, so we urge you to apply as soon as possible. We can reserve space in a course of your choice via telephone. Call us to check on space availability.

Wait List

If you apply for a course that is full, we will place your name on a waiting list. In this business, withdrawals are possible, leaving space for those on the waiting list.

Alternative Courses

We strongly urge you to consider alternative courses and dates, as your first choice may already be filled.  Call if you wish to know current enrollment in any class.

What's Included

Most workshop prices include tuition cost only, as hotels and meals are not included. We will recommend specific hotels in each course location and leave reserving your room up to you. In some cities, we have found rental apartments are more reasonable than hotel rooms.

Resumes

Your resume is helpful in planning the content of each workshop and to ensure that the technical and artistic level of each class is harmonious. Please include yours either in hard copy or as an electronic file with your application.

Portfolio Reviews

Some of our Master Classes require a portfolio review for admission. You can send in a sample of your work on a CD or DVD, or send us a link to a website or online portfolio.  If a portfolio or reel is required, information will be included in the course description.

Visas
Visas are not required for participants attending courses from the USA, or who are residents of the EU. Participants from other countries can check with www.VisaHQ.com to see what requirements are listed for their respective countries.

Withdrawal and Refunds

Enrollment is limited in our workshops, so once you have been accepted your participation is important to us - we are counting on you to attend. If you need to withdraw before the start date of a workshop, we offer the following refund policy. Withdrawal 8 weeks before the start of class, we will refund your deposit and any tuition paid. The application fee is non-refundable. If you withdraw 4-weeks before the start of class, we will refund any tuition paid, except the $500 deposit. There is no refund for withdrawal within 2-weeks of the class, or after the course has begun, but the tuition paid can be applied to a future workshop.
